( CINCINNATI, OH ) -- In March of 2017, prosecutors say Briana Benson, 20, beat up Madie Hart, 18, outside of a bar on Walnut Street before running her over with her car, dragging her for about a block until Hart died.
After being charged with one count of murder, one count of felonious assault, one count of aggravated vehicular homicide, and leaving the scene of an accident on February 14, 2018, Benson was sentenced to 18 years to life in prison on March 8.
Benson told Hart's family, in court, that she was sorry it all happened and she didn't do it on purpose. Hart's mother, father, younger sister, and former girlfriend all delivered statements afterwards about what life will be like without Madie.
