( Cold Spring, KY ) - A brief police chase ended in an accident near NKU's campus Tuesday afternoon.
Police say a 13 year-old boy stole his mother's car and led them on a chase. They say they clocked the teen going over 100 miles per hour on I-471.
After a three minute pursuit the teen lost control near University Drive and Nunn Drive and struck a Campbell County Cruiser.
An officer was injured in the accident. Both the officer and the suspect were both taken to Saint Elizabeth Fort Thomas Hospital.
No word on their conditions or any charges at this time.
