( Hamilton County ) - After talking about it earlier this month to say talks would start soon, Hamilton County Commission President Todd Portune (pictured) said on Monday that the process of finding a developer to build a concert venue at The Banks is beginning.
The Banks steering Committee is meeting Tuesday, and construction proposals are expected to start being submitted in February.
County attorney and Banks counsel Tom Gabelman says the kind of facility they're looking to have built could generate 250,000 to 350,000 attendees a year, with 140 to 180 events to be held at the venue per year.
Portune has said that any public money would go toward infrastructure support of the development, like a parking structure.
No deals signed yet, and no timetable set.
