(700 WLW)- On Monday, at approximately 5:30 PM, the Cincinnati Police Department’s Traffic Unit responded to 2104 West North Bend Road to investigate a serious injury traffic crash.
64 year old, Steven McConnal, was operating a gray 2002 Nissan Maxima westbound on West North Bend Road.
71 year old, Olevia Jackson, was a pedestrian in a private parking lot of a business located at the above address. Ms. Jackson was about to get into her vehicle, a black 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser, which was parked in a parking space that runs parallel to West North Bend Road.
Mr. McConnal lost control of his vehicle, traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a fire hydrant and a concrete curb, and then simultaneously struck the left side of the PT Cruiser and Ms. Jackson.
Ms. Jackson was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center by the Cincinnati Fire Department and is in serious but stable condition.
Mr. McConnal was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
Excessive speed is not a factor in this crash. Impairment is a factor in this crash.
