Bailey vs Ryu Tonight Goodyear
Homer Bailey makes his second start of the spring tonight as the Reds take on the LA Dodgers. LA counters with South Korea native Hyun-Jin Ryu. Expect Bailey to throw 3 innings tonight.
Johnny Cueto started for the Reds yesterday and was beat around pretty bad. He had a 1-2-3 first. In the second he gave up a solo home run and then in the third the wheel fell off. He gave up 5 runs on 6 hits in that inning. At one point the Royals had 4 straight hits including a double, two triples, and a home run.
Reds manager takes the ball from Johnny Cueto in the third inning Tuesday.

Playing Long Ball
Ryan Ludwick and Todd Frazier hit back-to-back home runs yesterday against the Royals. It was the first homer of the spring for both players.
The Shift is On
Reds manager Bryan Price said in his morning press gathering that the Reds defense will shift a lot more this season. He knows pitchers get a little nervous when there are dramatic shifts behind them but "It's a game of percentages. I think we're going to be a little more inclined to set our defense to defend the areas of the field where the highest percentage of balls are hit based on the hitter"
During his Press meeting yesterday, Bryan Price was discussing the term "a ground ball through the box". He pointed out that he heard that at one time there was an actual pitcher's box and hence the term. I looked it up and the Reds skipper is correct.
