Mat Latos Update
Mat Latos finally pitched in a game Wednesday afternoon. The Reds right hander, coming off elbow and knee surgery faced a team of Cleveland Minor Leaguers. He threw 2 innings giving up 3 hits. Latos threw 31 pitches, 19 for strikeouts, struck out 4 (all on breaking balls), and topped out at 95mhp on the radar gun.
There was one scare when latos looked hurt after throwing a pitch. Turns out he stepped in some soft dirty and twisted his ankle but he'll be fine. Bryan Price and his staff haven't decided yet whether he'll face minor leaguers or Major Leaguers next time he pitches.

Homer Bailey who is dealing with a strained groin was suppose to start in a game on Friday but that has been pushed back a couple days. His bullpen session that was suppose to happen yesterday probably won't take place until Friday. I think this all but means that Johnny Cueto will be the opening day starter.
