This year marks the 150th anniversary of a part of Cincinnati history that many may not be familiar with: The Great Western Sanitary Fair was an effort to raise money for wounded Union soldiers during the Civil War.

Todd Curliss at the Cincinnati Museum Center didn't know much about it, and he's Coordinator for Large Events at the Museum Center. 

Cincinnati was one of only a few places to hold a fair, and it raised $235,000.
