Kelly and I saw The Eagles at US Bank Arena Monday night.
They played for two and a half hours and were simply spectacular.
From 'Peaceful Easy Feeling' to 'Hotel California' and 'Desperado', I'd guess they played 25 songs. They followed a chronological order, starting with their first release in 1971, showing video clips of their DVD documentary (must see) featured on Showtime last year.
Their voices were strong, their harmonies spectacular. It was like they were back in the mid 1970's. They may be a little older, they may be a little worn, but they've still got it: Glenn Frey (65), Don Henley (66), Joe Walsh (66) and Timothy B. Schmit (66). Frey admitted he was battling a cold, but he sounded great.
Their songwriting is just so damn good. Joe Walsh on guitar is something to experience. 'In The City' brought the house down. The Eagles are my favorite band of all-time. We paid $126 a ticket to sit in Section 104, and it was well worth it.
I think this was my favorite song Monday night
