How about Billy Hamilton?
Billy Hamilton entered Monday night in a 1 for 16 funk. He broke out of that funk in a big way, delivering two hits and driving in a career high four runs in the Reds 9-3 win over the Cubs Monday night. Hamilton is on pace for:
.275 BA, .306 OBP, .405 SLG, .711 OPS, 9 HR, 63 RBI, 31 2B, 77 R, 64 SB.
Just imagine if Hamilton can get his walk rate up. He walked last night for the first time in 19 games. He ranks 18th of 19 leadoff hitters with at least 250 plate appearances this year. His on-base percentage ranks 19th. Statcast highlights Billy Hamilton's speed
even knowing the bunt is coming, even making a slick play, Ramirez almost doesn't get Hamilton. That's because Hamilton can fly. He reaches 21.9 mph, which is just blistering.
That 21.9 mph top speed is more than 32 feet per second, or 10.21 seconds for 100 meters. That's dazzlingly fast, and a better representation of what Hamilton can do than the earlier look we took at him, when he was running on a wet track.

Down on the Farm
Neftali Soto homered, extending his hitting streak to 8 games, as the Bats beatToledo 6-5 Monday night. Rey Navarro extended his hitting streak 15 games.
