Dalton still hopeful after Kap hit, Alex Smith resigns, Bodine starts

Dalton doesn’t seem fazed by the premise of the deal, which is structured by incentives.
“You have to have confidence in yourself to be able to do things,” said Dalton Tuesday before the Bengals’ first mandatory minicamp practice. “I think he’s confident enough he’ll be able to play out the whole contract and he’s going to be able to earn everything. For me, I feel the same way. I feel like I’m confident in what I’m able to do…But you can’t even talk about (structure) right now.”
Dalton says he understands another part of the Kaepernick deal. There has to be enough left.

"You have to have confidence in yourself that you're going to be able to do things and that's what he did," Dalton told following a pre-minicamp news conference. "He's confident enough where he's going to be able to play out the whole contract and he's going to be able to earn everything. "So for me, I feel the same way. I feel confident with what I'm able to do."

The first ball sailed against the backdrop of empty, green seats and a crisp, blue sky inside Paul Brown Stadium Tuesday afternoon then buzzed toward the turf before A.J. Green ran underneath it in stride for a touchdown.
Moments later, another took the same path on the opposite hash mark, this time Marvin Jones running under with one step on his defender and little room for error. Touchdown.

Bengals have serious eating habits
Kevin Goheen, FoxSportsOhio
Despite the successes of his first three seasons, Green knows he can improve. He added some upper body weight in the offseason, not quite 10 pounds, with the help of his improved dietary habits. He said he's dropped about four pounds of that weight since the team's offseason program began but he wants to get it back.
