A German sunbather is extremely lucky after a close call with an airplane at a beach on the small island of Helgoland. The airport for the small archipelago is located just beyond the beach were tourists and locals sunbath. Obviously this landing was a little low - by about 20ft.
The pilot apologized for the incident, saying "As the pictures show, it wasn't one of my greatest achievements in the cockpit."
The Germany Federal Aviation Office is still investigating the incident. They may issue a fine to the pilot, or even strip him of his license. The sunbathers of the area would probably be alright with that decision.
