Charges filed in Westwood quadruple shooting

( Cincinnati, OH ) - A 19-year-old man has been charged after Saturday's shooting in Westwood.

Darius Harris has now been charged with four counts of felonious assault after he allegedly fired the shots that sent four people to the hospital, including two children.

A 6-year-old and an 8-year-old were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The 6-year-old has since been released, while the 8-year-old boy remains in critical condition in a medically induced coma.

The shooting happened just after 6pm Saturday near the intersection of McHenry and Cavanaugh avenues. Two teenage adults were also wounded and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators have not said what led up to the shooting, but believe the children were unintended targets of the gunfire.

Police are continuing their investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
