(Union, KY) – Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky announced Tuesday that two donors are providing a total of $1 million to benefit the Dan Beard Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
The million dollar donation boosts the capital campaign for Camp Michaels near Union in Northern Kentucky and its Eagle Leadership Lodge, a new 2,500 square foot great hall.
The chairman of Corporex Companies Bill Butler is partnering with Paul Verst, chairman of Verst Logistics, to provide the $1 million donation. Both Butler and Verst are members of the board of Horizon Community Funds.
Dan Beard Council serves on average over 20,000 children and families in the Greater Cincinnati area.
