(Cincinnati, OH) - The Reds and the Pirates have the weekend off because a member of the Cincinnati Reds has tested positive for COVID-19.
The player's name has not been released.
Saturday night's scheduled game as well as Sunday afternoon's at Great American Ballpark have been postponed to allow for additional testing and to complete the contact tracing process, according to a statement from Major League Baseball Saturday morning.
There is no word yet on when this weekend's games will be rescheduled. The Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates are both scheduled for off days on Monday.
