Council Members Moving To Make Election Day A Paid Holiday

Election Day

(Cincinnati) - Six-thousand City of Cincinnati employees could get a paid holiday on Election Day.

Following the lead of Sandusky, city council members P.G. Sittenfeld and Chris Seelbach are introducing a motion that would give city workers a paid day off, so they can hit the polls.

The motion would make the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November a paid holiday.

Sittenfeld and Seelbach tweeted out the motion Sunday night.

The next council meeting is scheduled for Thursday.
