( Hamilton County ) - A grand jury returned an indictment against a boyfriend/girlfriend pair accused of sexually assaulting a developmentally delayed woman.
On Thursday, Prosecutor Joe Deters announced that 53-year-old Robert Achtermann and 39-year-old Shannon Melford are charged with rape. Actermann faces three counts, Melford is under indictment for one count.
Investigators say they raped the woman this past November, but Achtermann's other two charges come from allegations he raped the same woman in 2014. Achtermann faces 33 years if convicted, Melford faces 11.
