(700 WLW)- Fire companies were dispatched a little after 2 AM Thursday morning to 4200 Verne Avenue-Oakley for a report of a garage fire. Companies arrived on scene to find a fully involved, detached garage that had several exposures, including the occupants 2 story occupied single family residence. The fire was quickly knocked down, and all occupants were able to self evacuate the exposure building. Smoke detectors were present, and they alerted the occupants. The Cincinnati Fire Investigative Unit says damage is estimated at $20,000.
