(New York, NY)  --  Television psychologist Doctor Joyce Brothers is dead at 85.  Brothers gained fame in 1955 after winning 'The $64,000 Question' game show as a boxing expert.  A New York station gave her a TV show in 1958 and she considers herself the first television psychologist.  Brothers had a monthly column in 'Good Housekeeping' magazine, a syndicated newspaper column that appeared in over 300 papers and several best-selling books.  Brothers earned her Ph.D in psychology from Columbia University.
