(Cincinnati) – The man accused of killing a pizza shop owner in Hartwell appeared in court Thursday.

A judge ordered John Deloney, 27, to be held without bond.

Deloney was arrested last Wednesday in Indianapolis after he turned himself into the police.

Deloney is accused of murdering Richard Evans, 50, the owner of Cosmic Pizza earlier this month. He allegedly entered the store and demanded money from Evans at gunpoint. Investigators say Evans was shot once and tried to escape, but Deloney chased after him and shot him three more times, leading to his death later that day.

Charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated murder, Deloney is being held in Hamilton County Jail.
