A man suffered life-threatening injures after a tire came though his windshield on Interstate 75 Sunday afternoon.

Police say around 1 o'clock Sunday a left front tire came off of a Chevy Silverado being driving by 41-year-old Sandra Slater of Saint Albans, West Virginia, in the southbound lanes in Walton. The tire bounced into the northbound lanes, hitting another Silverado in the hood and windshield.

The passenger of that truck was able to bring the vehicle to a stop, but Air Care had to transport 34-year-old Michael Ramey of Williamstown, Kentucky, to UC Medical Center.
