(Whitewater Twp.) -- The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office has ruled reports of a possibleplane crash to be unfounded. Reports of the possible crash were called in Saturday evening, south of Harrison.  Just before 8PM, someone called 911 and reported seeing the plane head straight for the ground.  They said then they saw smoke.

Rescue crews were searching past dark, for a crash site, and as of 10PM hadn't found anything.

First responders from several departments searched the area between Kilby and Lawrenceburg Roads, along the Whitewater River. The area is said to be popular with remote controlled model plane operators.

The search was called off for the night, just before 11PM.
