(CINCINNATI, Oh) - Xavier University has a new project that will be completed by the time students arrive in August 2015. The University will begin the $18 million renovation to Alter Hall in May. Xavier said the project will be paid with current funds and would not create any new debt.
Since 2010, the university has built Smith Hall, which holds the College of Business, Conaton Learning Commons, Fenwick Place dorm and dining hall, and a central utility plant. The new buildings have increased the square feet on campus by 25%.
Alter Hall was dedicated in December 1960 and was the first air-conditioned building on the University’s campus. The renovation will expand Alter Hall closer to Montgomery Road.
