( Hamilton County ) - Ohio State Representative Peter Beck is under indictment for 16 felony counts related to security fraud, and more charges are expected. That from Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters and Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine in a joint news conference Friday afternoon.

Investigators say they started getting complaints about a company called Christopher Technologies, or CTech, back in February 2011. Beck was the CFO of that company, and he allegedly knew CTech was insolvent and did not tell that to investors.

CTech President John Fussner is also under indictment on seven counts also related to his alleged misrepresentation of the state of the company.

Beck's attorney has already released a statement saying they will vigorously fight the charges, and that Beck is just as much a victim as anyone else in this case.
