Movoto Blog, a real estate blog site, has compiled a list of “America’s Smartest Cities,” and Cincinnati has cracked the top 10 at number nine.

Site bloggers looked at the 100 most populated cities in the country and gave each city rankings based on specific criteria. The types of criteria included the amount of universities and colleges per person, libraries per person, education level, media per person, museums per person, and public school rank.

The Queen City came in second in the library rankings and fourth in college rankings. With five of six top 20 rankings, including the best college rank, Pittsburgh took the title as “America’s Smartest City.”

Here is a list of the top 10:

1)      Pittsburgh, PA

2)      Orlando, FL

3)      Washington, D.C.

4)      Atlanta, GA

5)      Honolulu, HI

6)      Tampa, FL

7)      Seattle, WA

8)      San Francisco, CA

9)      Cincinnati, OH

10)   Miami, FL

Movoto editors were shocked to see cities like Cincinnati and Orlando on the top 10 list, as neither city has appeared very often on the site’s other top 10 lists.
