( Hamilton, Ohio ) - A lawsuit filed last week in Butler County, alleges that traffic cameras being used to catch speeders in a southwest Ohio village is a violation of the state Constitution.  The suit comes after Judge Robert Ruehlman ordered similar cameras removed in Elmwood Place, in Hamilton County.

The lawsuit filed against The Village of New Miami by four residents and businesses in the area, alleges the speed cameras violate their constitutional right to due process. The lawsuit wants an order striking down the New Miami ordinance.

A Hamilton County judge who struck down the use of traffic cameras in the Elmwood Place said they also violated due process.
