( Cincinnati ) - A tentative agreement has been reached between Kroger and United Food and Commercial Workers Local 75.
Union spokeswoman Brigid Kelly says the 4-year agreement would put Kroger employees in both Cincinnati and Dayton under the same contract. "Our goal at the beginning was to create one healthcare structure for both groups. As we dug a little deeper, we saw there was an opportunity to merge them together in their entirety," Kelly said.
Kelly wouldn't go into specifics since the contract has yet to be ratified, but she said it includes not only affordable healthcare, but also wage increases, and what she called "strong contract language" for UFCW members.
Members will vote on the contract July 29.
