Former Covington Finance Director Pleads Guilty

(Covington) Covington’s Former Finance Director Robert Due pleaded guilty Thursday to all charges against him. He’s accused of embezzling almost $800,000 from the city between 2010 and 2013. He was charged with 12 counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, one count of theft by deception, one count of abuse of public trust and one count of unlawful access to a computer. Due faced up to 20 years in prison, but got a plea deal that would send him away to prison for 15 years. He also must pay $793, 127 in restitution.
