(West Price Hill) A porch fire reported to Cincinnati firefighters in West Price Hill early Thursday morning. When crews arrived just after 3 a.m. they saw smoke pouring from the attic of a two-story home at 4106 Francis Ave. The family living there got out safely. Fire crews said the fire appeared to have started in the basement and spread through the first and second floors until it consumed the outside porch area. It took firefighters approximately 30 minutes to extinguish the fire. Damage is estimated at $15,000. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Cincinnati Fire Department Fire Investigation Unit. The Red Cross was notified and assisting with 2 displaced adults and 5 displaced children.
