(Norwood, OH.)—A hotel in Norwood will remain closed after police shut it down two weeks ago after finding evidence that it housed prostitution and drugs.
Hamilton County Judge Robert Ruehlman ordered that the Quality Hotel and Suites Center on Montgomery Road shall remain closed until the trial reopens in July.
Norwood Police Detective Harry Schlie was one of many who testified Monday about the alleged illegal activities. Schlie said he sent a confidential informant to the hotel seven times to buy heroin. These actions led to the arrest of three drug dealers. More were arrested for prostitution.
Ruehlman can decide to keep the hotel closed for a year, the max time allowed under Ohio law.
