(Hebron, Ky.)--Over one million worth of counterfeit NFL merchandise has been seized at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in Hebron, Ky.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Custom and Border Protection, worked together as part of Operation Team Player that began in June, as an effort to prevent the counterfeit items from entering the U.S. marketplace.

Investigators seized $1.5 million in counterfeit NFL merchandise at the DHL air cargo hub located at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

This is the second seizure of counterfeit NFL merchandise in the last few weeks, as more than $21.6 million in knockoff football jerseys, hats and other merchandise were seized in New York ahead of the Super Bowl.
