A class-action lawsuit against the speed cameras in the Village of Elmwood Place can proceed after a judges ruling Tuesday.

Attorney Mike Allen, fighting the village in the case said Tuesday, Judge Robert Ruehlman will allow him to file one lawsuit representing all the people who received speeding tickets from the cameras. Ruehlman, has been very critical of the cameras, ordered the Village to turn them off over the summer.

As many as 10,000 people could potentially join the class-action lawsuit that Allen plans to bring against the Village.
