Two men have been arrested in connection with the theft of three designer chairs from a Cincinnati office building.
On August 9. Evendale Police received a call from the Formica Corporation at 10155 Reading Road saying that the chairs were missing from a private office.
The Formica chairs were built based on commissioned designs by architects Peter Eisenman, Michael Graves, and Laurinda Spear, for an exhibition at the Contemporary Arts Center of Cincinnati.
The estimated value of the three designer chairs is $73,000 an auctioneer says he agreed to pay $7,500 for the three unusual pieces before he heard about the theft and called police.
A former security guard at Formica Dustin Buckner and Edward Smith IV, both of Springfield Township are suspected of stealing the three pieces.
Evendale Police say one of the chairs was destroyed in the theft.
